Vert guys and non vert guys-which view do you think looks better top up or top down?

I really like the looks with the top up, it looks sleek, lean and mean. Top down it is just plain old beautiful.
Either way it is a winner.

I'm one of those that doesn't like the C7 Vert looks, loses he rear Vents and the sloping back window that just makes the lines on the C7 perfect. C1, C2, C3, C4, & C6 I think the Convertibles look better. C5 is a coin toss for me... But most of them I don't like the top up version much at all.
So I guess that's a vote for top down.

Top up in general.
Top-down depends on who is riding in it.
I plan to make mine more menacing by tinting the back and side windows and blacking out the badges and front grill. (Kind of worried the sides will look a bit dorky when up with top down if they are heavily tinted, but that is just dorky to start with, so I guess it doesn't matter).
Top-down, the windshield is slightly too raked. Looks like not a enough room to be comfortable in the cockpit with it right in the driver's face. The waterfall and bumps behind the seats add to the crowded look, and not a fan of the contrasting color on the bumps.
Outside of the cockpit area, I love the lines of the convertible. The windshield might look better if the A-pillars were painted body color (Crystal Red on mine) when the top is down to help with the flow of the car (but would look kind of out of place with black top up).

For me, it looks better with the top down.

Down!
FWIW: My last vette was a convertible and I found I only really liked driving it with the top down which limited my driving days. That's why I ordered the C7 as a coupe and I do drive it more. I also think the vert looses the best line on the C7, that being the to roof and hatch line.
