About to order a C7...
Its been a few years since being in the owners club, so to speak, since I sold my '06 Z06 when my son was born a few years ago. But the itch is getting too intense for me and the wife has given the thumbs up. Soooooo.... I am about to pull the trigger and order a LB Z51 A8.
My question is should I try to squeeze in a 2015 order or should I wait for the 2016? Any idea if a price hike is in the future and if so, what is the typical increase look like?

I do not think there will be substantial changes for '16, and if it were me and got a good deal, I'd get a '15. You should be able to have the car and enjoy a summer of driving.

I have a supplier pricing code so I don't think I will be getting any better deal for a 15 than I would for a 16. Unless there is a MSRP increase for the 16.

Always possible to have a slight price increase for the new model year. If you can find a dealer with an immediate allocation, order it now if you want to secure the current pricing. There is still a very small ordering window if I recall correctly - the drop dead dates have been posted in a few threads. Key is to locate a dealer with a current allocation you can use.
Otherwise, if you aren't concerned about a small price change (maybe $1000) then wait and order a 2016... The 2016 changes should be available within a week or so.

i would get a 2015, they will be the same car. but the 2015 will be LITTLE cheaper, and you will get it sooner.
the only thing worth waiting for in the corvette is more power. which is probably not happening.

At this point, I would be tempted to see what new colors are going to be introduced. If you are ready to pull the trigger I would contact a large volume dealer, a forum dealer preferably, ask if the new colors have been released.
We know about the V.Y. I'm guessing that possibly the NRB might be dropped also.
Also there may have been some refinements in certain areas on the 2016.
Other wise go for the 2015.
Tough decision.
What ever you decide you are going to love this car.
btw I believe Dave at Kerbeck said that April 16th was the last day for 2015 orders. You can check with him.

Problem with buying a 2015 is resale time... Nothing differentiates between a first week or final week build... It is still a 2015 and subject to that model year's depreciation.

For me being able to drive the car for the added amount of time that I would have ordering a 2015 instead of a 2016 was why I ordered a 2015. Having a shorter driving season here in Ohio than in more southern states essentially meant I'd miss this coming driving season ordering a 2016.

The "very late in the model year" 2015 would be a lower mileage car compared to a 2016 that was placed on the road a week or so later than the 2015. That minimizes the difference in resale values to some extent.

2015 allocations still available
I placed a deposit for a 2015 allocation today for May, MSRP up $495. 2016 ordering hasn't started. I was able to confirm the warranty reduction. I couldn't confirm any power increase or color options. 2016 productions unlikely to begin before the July two week shutdown.

Not sure what a "normal" increase in price is, but we just had a $1K increase in early February on base coupes. Really there is no right answer to your dilemma about 2015 vs. 2016.
Personal preference rules. If you want to special order a 2015, time and allocations are running out. There are plenty of cars on lots, but I found it was impossible to find exactly what I wanted. Therefore I special ordered my car.
Do you want to wait a little longer - take a 2016 and get in early on the vehicle year.
Good luck.

Order a 16 at supplier your way, if like last year early oders did not have a price increase. Are you going to drive over 60k miles? It should be worth the wait.

Click the MacMulken icon on the right side of your post. They appear to have several 2015 Z51 LB C7's "in stock" at considerable discounts under MSRP. Good luck.

It depends. If you want the best deal and be able to drive it this summer, shop for an in-stock 2015. If you can wait and don't mind paying a tad more, get a 2016. Newer model year is always better.
Given GM's history of doing so, my guess is that 2016s will see at least a $1000 price increase.
