Default Car built 50 days ago still no car--need help!

I'm hoping someone has a number to someone ranking high up in GM. I'm getting no answers from Chevy Customer Service or my dealer. My car was built on 2/11 then finally made it to Toledo on 3/10. As of today 3/29, nobody can tell me anything except "last report was on 3/10 in Toledo". In addition I put down 50g, have the registration for the car, first payment came due which I made, warranty started on 2/13 and I have no vehicle and nobody can tell me where the vehicle is. Somebody has to be keeping a tab on it somewhere right? Anyone please help!

Contact the police and your insurance company and report it stolen. That will light a fire and get it to appear post haste. Don't **** around and threaten to do it. Just do it and sit back and see what happens.

As an auto theft investigator I seriously doubt you will get a police report filed for auto theft. This most likely falls into the category of a civil issue for beech of contract. Perhaps getting an attorney involved is a better solution.

You'll probably be charged with filing a false police report.

That would be ok but they haven't even told me it's on the rail yet. It arrived in Toledo 19 days ago.

How can the warranty start if you have not taken delivery? How can the payments start without taking delivery? I never heard of this before.

When the car was built on 2/11 they processed all the paperwork. It's being delivered to Callaway West so I assumed once built it would ship within a couple of weeks.

Why did you pay for the car before you even saw it?

That's how it works when you order from out of state

Why would you sign documents without taking delivery and seeing the vehicle?

I read a while back that one of the trains that was shipping the cars west had a faulty car. So that train was diverted to a repair depot. I thought I heard that it was going to take the rail road 30 days to get the faulty car fixed. Do you think your car might be on that train? Also, I think there is a way that the dealer can activate OnStar. If so, you get OnStar to get the gps location of your car. Hope this helps.

You most definitely can have OnStar help you out. Call your dealership and tell them to register your VIN with OnStar. Give them your email address so that you can then use the OnStar phone app to sign up. It's all VERY easy. Once you have an account and the app, call OnStar to set up your 4 digit PIN and you will use that PIN to locate your car. Good luck I can't imagine your anxiety at this point. Complete BS!

What good is Onstar going to do? I activated mine and after a week of no one starting the car it went to sleep, and now you can't see anything.!! His dealer needs to get off his *** and help him out! Mine was built 2/24 and still hasn't arrived either but at least my dealer is calling people and trying to keep me posted. Sorry Spartan I know it *^%#'n sucks!!! Good luck bro!!

No it doesn't. I ordered from out of state and nothing was official until the car showed up at the dealer, I signed the paperwork and handed over a check.

Doesn't need the car to be started for it to work. I tracked mine for 9 days until I got it and never had a problem.

I've heard of others using it for a month. OP, just try it, can't hurt anything.
