Default Onstar and Nav

I have a new 2015 that has the nav and of course, the free-for-awhile Onstar. I am wondering if the time comes when Onstar expires and If I don't re-new it, will I lose any of the nav functions. I guess I am wondering what componants that they share.

No, you don't lose any Nav functions if you stop paying Onstar.

Only the ability to have OnStar download turn by turn directions to your Nav system.

Does the heads up display still show turns without onstar?
How do I know if onstar was directing my routes when I had the free trial or if it was the NAV doing all the work.

Assuming you put a destination in the onboard Nav system, yes.

Default OnStar and Nav

I like being able to send my nav address from my OnStar app on my phone.

Weather and traffic are part of SiriusXM, not OnStar. My wife didn't renew XM after the trial on her '14, and lost the traffic indications on the Nav screen as well as weather.

I still have OnStar (renewed for the whole year) and Serius/XM (renewed), but did lose weather once the free trial ended. Wonder why weather ended? The message does say that weather is a part of Serius/XM.
