Default Velocity Yellow at 0%!

I can't believe it but it does look like VY has been phased out. Still can't believe they are dropping the color of their IMSA race cars. If there is a new Yellow surely it will be close to VY. Still can't believe it as this color is super visible on the race course and fits the C7R so well.

That is surprising unless they are coming out with a new yellow for 2016 that will be shared with the race team.

I'm not a "yellow guy" however I'm seen some really nice Velocity Yellow Stingrays at local shows over the last year. IMO, it's one of the best colors to match up with black wheels and the Carbon Flash trim. Add yellow calipers and it's stunning.

VY is the best ever yellow they offered. Now with GM, I am sure they will make a cheaper yellow. Like the 100K warranty, now you see it. Next year you will not!

This is exactly my Z51 order that was built yesterday! I was originally second guessing my color choice after I heard it was discontinued for 2016 now I'm actually liking the idea that VY will be a relatively rare color and I lucked out at getting one of the last ones built.

The truth is that every color GM offered for the C7 is stunning. Picking a color is seriously the hardest thing to do.

I love the color and I really hope they bring something very similar. There has to be a yellow corvette!

No different than the red changing ever so often (Victory Red vs Torch Red).

Looks like I got in under the wire. My Velocity Yellow Z06 has a TPW of 4/20. Also got by roof and ground effect constraints at the same time. My dealer indicated that this would happen as they would try to fill all VY sold orders.

I always thought VY was one of the colors that defined the brand. Hate to see it dropped. Surprising.

How true. I knew every option I wanted, however the choice or red, blue, white, or black was the hardest choice.

It boiled down to red vs. blue, and blue finally won.

My 07 was VY. I liked it and almost had my 14 in VY. Let's see what shade of yellow replaces it.

I'm not a VY guy myself, but I sure love looking at them. I hope they have a nice replacement.

As you can tell by my Avatar, I Love Vettes in Yellow. My 65 was Goodwood Yellow. Little on the pale side
.
My 70 was a little brighter yellow. Don't know what it was called.

My 03 C5 was M. Y. In 03 it was a three step paint.

My C7 is T.R. with Carbon Flash Stripes, but I still think the V.Y. looks great.

I'm sure there is another Yellow in the wings. I can't see them dropping it from the Vette line up.

All the above and the Z06 grill is the crowning touch !!!

The racing tie-in is the main reason to continue have VY as an option, and to be honest, I preferred the le mans blue livery that used to be the racing color. I hope they go back to the blue. Not hating on VY, I just prefer the blue.

It'd been rumored to be going away for a month or so... Interesting to see what will replace it??

I have to admit.... That car is pretty hot. Not completely sold on the side skirts, but the rest of the car kicks ***. If yellow wasn't a $1k option and I already had a yellow car....

I almost got VY. Sort of regret it now.
Personally I thought DSOM was a let down. I am not optimistic about whatever yellow is next.
