Price protected at what point? When entered into the computer most likely.

I would think an executive discount would have a time limit.

I sincerely doubt 2016MY regular production will begin June 22 but that will be answered come June 22 will it not?

What kind of discount is an executive discount?

From my research here's what I found reference production dates for GM vehicles:

For the Corvette 2015 model:

2015 Final Production Date is listed as: 6/20/2015

For the Corvette 2016 model:

2016 Order Bank Open Date is listed as: 4/16/2015

2016 Production Date is listed as: 6/22/2015

These dates above confirm the dates that C7Jake posted.

I have not found any documentation of the last date for the 2015 MY Corvette Coupe or Convertible orders to be accepted. The dates above are for both the Corvette Coupe and Convertible models.***

*** Perhaps one of the larger Corvette Forum dealers can verify these dates as I can only assume they are privy to the dates listed above.

Fair enough.

Not my first and likely not my last.

But until the day after June 22 (whichever that day may be) I will hold out and wait and see.

That makes for a shortened 2015 model year run.

And I'm liking a shorter wait for the 2016.

Does anyone know if the 2016 Z06s will also start production on 6/22?

With the "end" production date set for the 2015 MY on 6/20/2015 and the start of the 2016MY on 6/22/2015, that most likely tells me, no change in body style from 2015 to 2016 with only a 1 day production gap between the 2015 and 2016 models.

6/20/2015 is a Saturday and the new 2016MY starts on Monday 6/22/2015.

Big question, what price increases will we see for the 2016 MY compared to the Feb 1st, 2015 price increase on the 2015?

2016 will be another price increase. This price increase will help move the 2015's that are leftover.

My apology to C7Jake, as I should have checked my source before posting, but having just checked it, your date for start of regular production is correct.

I know, I should have checked before posting, but I did not. Mea Culpa.

This is timely thread. After a bit of back and forth a local dealer is willing to accept my GMS discount. If it holds up I think this dealer would be the first in the state to accept GMS. I was going to go through Les Stanford and have it shipped out but would rather deal local. Now I am wondering if I should jump on the deal before they change their mind or hold out for a 16'. May or may not get the discount for a 16' but would most likely have to pay a price increase too.

Yes I did ask that and they do. They are one of the dealers that always have Stingray's in stock.

I received the pass today and it is valid until Sept 7, 2015. So I have some options now.

Not having my C7 all summer is not ideal, but if there is anything really important that I should wait for, then I am fine with doing that. I know there wont be any major changes, but I have hear a lot of issues with the A8 transmission when used at a track. If there are any improvements to that then I am fine with waiting. Or if the PDR camera is going to be 1080p now versus 720p, then that might be another option worth waiting for.

As far as colors changing, I am not going to be impacted by that as I am buying Torch Red with Black Interior. Other than that I am getting 1LT, Z51, A8, MRC and PDR. That is pretty much it.

Price increase is just an assumption on my end but it's probably a safe bet. I think most vehicles, not just the Corvette typically increase or delete items so save cost from one year to another.
