What do they have on sale?
Imo, the griots is the best, my 1st one lasted 8 years and corrects well. The porter cable is a good second choice.

If you want to spend huge $ , look st the flex forced rotation model or the rupes.

If your a fan of "cordless" tools and just need to spread "wax"......That Griots cordless is pretty nice.

Use Griot's on my black Porsche '67 911S. Best products out there. I have both sizes.

I have the Meguiars DA polisher......works just fine. Porter Cable also has a nice one with a good price point. Both the Meguiars or Porter Cable will work just fine for the amateur detailer.

Low risk, dual-action, rotation & orbit pattern produces far superior results than mere hand application.

1800 opm 6800 opm, the most versatile speed range in its class.
Easy side-port access for quick brush changes.
Convenient Meguiar’s Canvas Bag.
Includes W68DA Soft Buff 2.0 DA Backing Plate.

Can't go wrong with the 6" Griot's. Even bought the 3" Griot's for the small areas. Love them both.

Another Griots owner here. Going on 7 years. I have considered upgrading to the Flex but not until my Griots dies.

I may be incorrect, but I think the Griot's unit is made by Porter-Cable.

It is not a porter cable.,,I asked him a few years ago and I can't remember what their answer was, but it was somebody that did not sell their own polisher.

Sorry, could not resist.

I wish the Griot's cordless was not so expensive.

The older Griot's units are Porter Cable - essentially an orbital sander. Comes in a large plastic Porter Cable case - even included a hose to connect to a shop vac as a dust collection unit. Those are pretty much indestructible.

Had a Porter Cable and while it was very good it's nothing compared to the Rupes I recently purchased.

Rupes are what a lot of pros use... but they are not cheap.

Since the wife is buying a new car, I thought I would "invest" in
a polisher for doing the Glen e process on both cars.
I contacted Luis Mendoza. His transportation costs from FL to NC
are prohibitive.
Since some of you might upgrade to a Flex/Rubes , I thought I would go with of the top of the line ----- this will probably be the last polisher I buy. Glen e suggested the Flex "forced rotation model" but I cannot find that term in any of adverts. Does it mean Duel Action ??
What pads would you suggest for the initial and on going Glen e process ?

( Luis -- feel free to voice your opinion

Forced rotation means the pad will not stop orbiting. My Porter Cable will "stall" the pad if I push too hard on it. The Flex will keep on rotating...... It is a premium tool.

Mine stalls too... I thought it was broken, but it's not.
