Default Stuff sliding around in back

For all you guys with coupes, and convertibles to a lesser extant, I suppose...

Has anyone found a way to keeps stuff from moving around in the back hatch?

For example, I put my laptop bag back there. And, while it's back there, it's sliding all over the place back there when I'm driving around. Tends to drive me nuts.

Suggestions?

Cargo net isn't nearly big enough for a laptop bag.
But, since you've brought that up. Does anyone make a jumbo size cargo net?

I have applied velcro to the bottom of light plastic boxes of various sizes, my Corvette cleaning/washing bag, etc. and it works great!!! Sticks like glue to the carpet material GM uses. The net is also handy for little things.

Sure it is. Put the bottom in, push it towards the front, lay it down and let the tension push it back to the back. It's very "strechy"...

for now....just thinking about your laptop bag.....if no one is with you, just move the passenger seat forward and stow it behind it. you would be able to grab it from your seat and get out. Just a suggestion.

I saw somewhere on this board that someone was making and selling a container that custom fit across the bak directly behind the seats (non-interfering). It looked really nice and professional. Seems it had ample storage space, but maybe not for a large computer bag. Maybe you can find it by searching threads.

Does the rear cargo Coupe "cargo net" come in different sizes?

I have same problem with items sliding around.

And, it's not just my laptop bag. Anything I put back there slides around- a LOT. Almost like they made the carpet back with teflon coating.

Google for toolbox drawer liner foam. You can get it at Sears and auto stores. Bed, Bath, and Beyond carries it.

well another solution would be as far as bags of any sort.....just attach a piece of Velcro on the bottom.....won't be sliding around at all then.

My laptop goes in a bag a lot larger than a laptop bag. Cargo net fits around it no problem.

I like this idea. I'll hunt for someplace that sells it in the appropriate size tomorrow.

I suppose I should measure the area back there first.

I use this partition from Exoticvette.com - it works great. Here's a link: http://exoticvette.com/c7%20partition.htm

Roll up a black towel and surround the item. It'll move in hard turns but for daily driving it should be OK.

This same stuff is sold by Lowes in the closet/storage/shelving section in a wider roll. I used it in my coupe and it takes 2 pieces cross-ways to cover. Fairly easy to cut to shape with scissors. Will take pictures later...

It does an amazing job of preventing things from sliding around, but not from tipping/rolling.
