2016 ideas
With the Bash on the horizon, just thought we could start a thread on what we would like to see new for the 2016 model year.
Trying to keep this thread on topic, so basically what features/ improvements would everyone like to see?
I'll start by saying I think they should up the PDR to 1080P.

Im gonna say since we are so close to the bash now and its as silent as it is it looks like its going to be mostly a carry over model year with maybe a few minor improvements and maybe a color change. And of course a price increase! Thats like death and taxes for certain.

At last year's bash Harlan Charles actually addressed the reason why they went with 720 instead of 1080. I don't remember the intricate details but I know it was tied in to write speed and ability to work with the GPS system.
As for changes that I'd like to see...
As for changes that I'd like to see...
- Blind spot detection
- Rear cross traffic detection
- Turn signal repeaters in outside mirrors (kind of a no-brainer since Europe-bound C7s already have them)

Haven't bought yet, but before I do.
Blind spot/cross traffic detection
Option for single color on the rear end.

My suggestion for the 2016 - automatic rear hatch pulldown. Mine still requires a firm slam to close unless the doors/windows are open.

I personally don't really care what upgrades or additions are made to the 2016 MY as I won't be buying one anyway. I am more interested after becoming a 1st time Corvette owner with the C7 how long this body style will last and what the next generation C8 will look like.
Until I see the C8 and when it appears and comes to the marketplace, any changes is pure speculation on the 2016 C7 at this time. Some feedback from present Corvette C7 owners might help GM with decisions, but mostly the end result of what's going into the 2016 has already been made.
I am sure that GM is already working on PR, Advertisements, building costs, web design, sales brochures, production/plant modifications etc.
So essentially the 2016 MY design and features are probably already designed and ready for the build process. Most likely any suggestions or wants at this time is probably to late for the 2016MY. But perhaps ideas for 2017. In my estimation, suppliers for the 2016 MY are already gearing up to supply GM with any changes made for the 2016MY vs 2015MY.
Now we just have to wait until April to see what GM's designers and engineers have come up with.

I would like to see blind spot monitors in the side mirrors, an automatic rear hatch lock and a HP bump. If they add new colors I would love to see the return of Mag Red II.
I don't expect too many changes as GM already indicated that the C7 run will not be as long as the bankruptcy-induced extended run of the C6. That's why I don't think there will be a C7 Grand Sport as GM did that to keep the aging C6 style fresh until the C7 was ready. However, I wouldn't mind if all C7s got the Z06 wide-body treatment, but I think the C7 generation will be Stingray and Z06 only. Not that it is a bad thing as both models are awesome!

My thoughts exactly.

Blind spot monitors?
Doesn"t anyone know how to adjust their mirrors to eliminate the "blind spot"
Agree with the trunk pull down, that was a step backward from the previous cars.
Option of all season run flats.
