Install Z06 Grill

Just because it's easy for some people is no reason to take apart your car if you don't feel comfortable.
Any body shop can do it, but I would seek out a dealership with a bodyshop that has a good reputation.

When mine gets delivered they're putting the Z06 grille in for me for 100 bucks before I pick it up. Heck, for 100 bucks someone else can do it. Plus if they screw it up they have to fix it. And with my work schedule it will be three months after it gets delivered before I get time to do it. My dealer moves a lot of Vettes and I spoke to their body shop people, they seem pretty decent.

Best deal ever! I had it done and it cost a lot more than that. I can tell you it was NOT easy and I do not regret not doing myself. There was this weird clip thing holding the bumper on that was really difficult to get off without breaking. And the place I brought it to are Corvette specialists and they were like wtf this is a pain in the *** lol

If you ever need to replace the headlamp bulb, you'll get to do this again for another bunch of money. Honestly, it's just a bunch of screws coming out and a little "push up" on each side to clear a clip retainer. I would guess it takes maybe an hour from start to finish. Ramps help to get at the screws on the bottom.
I totally understand your position but I refuse to "give" money to the dealer when I don't have to. An hour of my time to save $100 means a lot of beer for me and my friends!

I'm not a body work kind of guy. Let me rebuild an engine or a transmission and I'm fine. Body work of any kind on a car has always made me nervous for some reason. I always break some goofy little clip or scratch something up. Wash and wax is about as far as I can safely go for body work.

I can relate to that. The passenger side parking lightbulb on my SUV needed to be replaced to pass PA inspection. Months later I needed to replace the driver side bulb. That was the first time I realized the dealer broke the retaining clip on the bulb wire harness connector when th bulb was changed. I figured I would change the driver side bulb myself to avoid another broken clip. NOT. Now I have two broken clips!
To each his own.

4 hours
It took a total of 4 hours to install the Z06 grill, Z06 side Skirts and Z06 Front Splitter. The guy was dragging here and there so it could have probably been done in 3 but it was very thorough and high quality work so I wasn't gonna complain. Westchester Corvettes is where I went. Was expensive .. $600 for the labor. But that was including tax so figure $500 plus. There's no way I could have done the drilling without a Jacks. Plus he needed to drill on the side skirts too. Pricey but at least I know it was done correctly.

Long Island?
Where on LI? I'm in Medford. Would love to connect with you if you decide to do it yourself and lend a hand. I'm considering doing mine as well.
