I'm going to drag strip next month with my sons.
I have a base model 7 speed manual. I have personally timed 0 to 60 at 3.8 seconds according to my cars timer, in sport mode and with traction control on. It seems as long as I roll on the power and not spin the tires, I not going to gain anything by having traction control off. What say you?

With a time of 3.8 seconds I would say that you pretty much figured out the how to part. Practice, practice, practice for consistency!

The Corvette launch stuff is turned on in "competitive driving mode" (Enter track mode then tap traction control button twice)

Read the manual page 9-42 for instructions. Pretty much stomp the clutch (brake for automatics) then gas pedal and the engine will rev limit to an optimal RPM with the traction management in a mode that wont slow you down. Release clutch / brake for automatics and go

I Think you have the launch process down pretty good. I would not think you would gain anything with traction control off.
