Top Gear LOVES the C7 (Link included)

I'm a big fan of Top Gear BBC, it's nice to finally here them like a Corvette without a last minute put down. Couple of things strike me while watching this.
1) When they ran the ZR1 it did a Lap time of 1:20.4, so the Stingray Z51 at 1:19.4 is very impressive.
2) Did I hear Hammond correctly when he said the Stingray has carbon fiber suspension?

Not surprised that they loved the C7, but it's still great to hear it from these guys, who have driven literally everything. What a great job these guys have!.
Anyway, can you imagine one guy owning a Porsche 918 Spyder, a P1 AND a LaFerrari? Amazing. Bin Laden's cousin.

Things like this video and track times really show how insignificant these videos and track times are to the world of daily drivers, and the driving experience. The C7 and the Cayman both beat the C6 Z06 time around the track?
I'd find it hard believe anyone who has driven all 3, would believe the Z06 is the slowest. My Z06 felt faster, pulled harder, and delivered a more raw driving experience that my C7 could ever match.
As to the Cayman, a mid engine car that weighs about 400lbs less, may not pull as hard, but offers a more rewarding driving experience than the C7.
Entertaining video and review, but the best way to decide which you think is best to drive them, then there will be no question which is the best for you.

I'm surprised to see some of the 2014 C7's even with some miles on them are selling for the middle $40's.I'm thinking either the owner is having A money issue or he wants A 2015 Z06 yesterday.
I know everyone is saying what am I smoking but I really believe A used C7 with 5000
Miles can sell at New MSRP prices or very close to it.Fantastic automobile.

I'm not so sure it's that the car has changed or them, as they get older their tastes have changed some.
Example: Clarkson has recently admitted that he prefers BMW's to Mercedes' now as he's gotten older (and he refuses to have another super car in his garage after all the issues with the Ford GT's alarm system).
Example: James May bought a BMW i3 hybrid car in the off season (trading in his Fiat Panda for it - which nobody has dared mention on the show yet). Aston Martins are just bleah now.
Example: Hammond used to love Mustangs but now claims they are "slow".
Also, if you will remember May ended up liking the CTS-V, and Clarkson also ended up liking the C6 when they did their road test in the states. Though admittedly, none of them really knows what a Muscle Car is. lol. They seem to always get it wrong.

Nice. Thanks for posting.
When Top Gear reviewed the C6 Z06 it did their track in 1:22.4. I believe it was a 2006 or 2007 model.
Not sure if there have been adjustments to their track.
Glad the Stingray did so well.
And here is the link to a full list of times...
