Default C7 Owners - We have a question. What kind of rear spoiler would you like made?

Greetings

RPI is looking to add to our product line for the C7 and would like feedback from C7 owners...what kind of rear spoiler would you like us to make? Please post pictures. We will keep voting open for a week, total up the results and the most votes wins

We will make this spoiler of choice from corvetteforum.com members, so you have a say in this.

These will be offered prepainted as are all of our products.

Thank you
Josh

Curious, do you have any info on how to remove the rear spoiler and how much time it would take for a novice mechanic?

There is a pretty in depth "how to" on this forum for novice mechanics. It's also a pretty inexpensive job to have done at any dealer as well. ~$100 or so.

A smallish lightweight full length C/F unit that can be put on with 3M tape and adheasion promotor that will require no drilling and can be removed later and not leave holes in the body. It can even be a water transfer type C/F look as long as it looks decent. Carbon flash paint would work also. No one else has one so this will also give you an exclusive product.

+1. A new design would be nice, made of CF that we can add with double sided tape. I had a CF spoiler on my BMW for 5 years and it had no problems for daily driving.

Maybe a carbon fiber version of the Z51 spoiler.

I would like to see a Z51 style spoiler that is not quite as tall, done in carbon flash. I like the look but not the tall look. I could also go for the adhesive mount as well.

Make it in one piece and the same color as the car. Keep it under 4" tall.
I don't like the pieced together look.

+1 agreed, but maybe something with some use like this

we could finally have a spare tire(s)

jokes aside, i mostly agree with arctic however, i don't know if just 3m alone would keep it on too good. love your stuff rpi so keep it up!

I do like the idea of a CF z51 spoiler, or Z07 spoiler for Stingrays

I believe what would sell like crazy would be some different spoilers that would fit into the holes already drilled out for the current Z51 spoiler. That would result in options made available for some folks who had to real options to begin with...

I would like a Z07 spoiler to replace the the z51 spoiler that is painted body color with the adjustable clear wicker. I would want it to mount in the same bolt holes as the stock Z51 spoiler. I have some of your products in my engine compartment and the painted tail light bezels. Thank you for the great products.

The biggest issue with any of these (drilled or taped) is that they rub against the paint and make wear marks over time around the edges; so if you ever decide to take it off, you will have noticeable wear marks that will require a repaint. It would be nice if the double stick tape was used in conjunction with some clear film like expel to possibly prevent this.

That being said, if RPI came out with a Z51 spoiler that attaches with 3M tape (with clear film to protect the paint), then I would be interested.
