C7's get more attention than other generations?
I've been enjoying my new C7... duhhhh.. I'm frequently stopped and asked about it, or stopped and asked if I mind pictures being taken, or stopped and asked about horsepower or handling. And the looks of people I pass or pass me! Its a thrill, I guess. I've had, and still have, a red C4 Coupe for the past 15 years and its never gotten the attention the C7 has gotten. I doubt the C5 or C6 got the kind of attention the C7 gets. I know the C4 didn't. I was walking out to my C7, parked way the hell out in the parking lot, and saw a car parked right next to mine. WTF? As I walked closer I noticed 2 teenagers leaning against their car looking at mine. They didn't see me coming so I was able to hear their candid remarks about the car. "This is the goddess of cars" one said. I grinned. And I had to admit it myself. They asked questions and looked around before I drove off into the sunset. I'm sure you guys and gals have had similar experiences.

It used to be my LB C7 attracted all sorts of attention but that's been dying down over the past months as more and more C7s appear in my area.
Perhaps not so much in your area but the attraction will die down at some point. Enjoy it while it lasts

I've had every generation from C4 to the C7. The C4, not so much attention. The C5 got more attention than the C4. The C6 not so much. But the C7, WOW, people stare wherever I go!

It's due to the stunning exotic styling of the C7. I've loved every Vette, but none has had that intangible exotic flavor that the C7 does. I've seen thousands of photos of C7's online, yet when I see one driving or parked in person it takes on a whole new level of amazing beauty.
Chevy really knocked this one far out of the park.

I second the exotic comment. I've told several people that if you removed the badges off the inside and outside that you would think it was an Italian designed supercar and wouldn't believe GM made it. It's such a radical design departure from the previous gens that it really grabs your attention the first few times you see one. Of course for me every time I see one.

C2's followed by C1's. C4's never saw the love (had two of them) and is evident by the amount of money decent C4's DON'T bring. As more and more people see the C7's the curiosity will diminish.

I have to say my C6 got TONS of comments. People would come up to me all the time in fact, I think I get about the same amount from both cars. If anything, I haven't put enough miles on my C7 to gauge it yet.

I get a lot of compliments with my C6 grand sport. Most people mistake it for a ZR1 or a Z06 and ask me how far the speedometer goes on it. But with the C7 I get a lot of people who take pictures and such. I think a lot of the attention comes from the laguna blue color, which basically screams look at me. It gets old very fast. For the best attention though, I like taking the both cars out for a ride on those warm sunny winter days when all the other corvettes are sleeping in the garage. On those days I am driving the only corvette on the roads so I unfortunately get too much attention.

I think it depends more on the condition and styling (mods) of each Corvette. The new C7 is a dramatic move forward in Corvette styling and deservingly will garner a lot of attention. However, I still get regular compliments on my 2004 C5 vert. Most people can't believe it's 11 years old.

Side note-
Not sure if you were around in 1984 when the C4 came out. It got plenty of attention as it was as huge a departure in styling as the C7 is now.
Seemed like anytime there was a major design change, those cars (a least initially) got plenty of admiring looks (or loving stares).
The 1963 and 1968's got lots of similar attention. Subsequent years in the same series would garner less and less as time went on.
Revisiting the C6 series I find the late model Grand Sport to be a truly beautiful car (with with some examples exhibiting some very C7-esque lines).

I think every generation got extra attention when it was new. The C3 was certainly a head-turner in 1968-69. The C4 was similar when new---modern and sleek.
The C5 maybe a bit less so, it was ground-breaking mechanically, but was not a "pretty" car.
My C6 got ALOT of oggling and comments when it was new, though much of that was for the original DSOM color.
The C7 is, I think, a bold styling leap, like the C3 was, and should grab attention for quite a few years before the newness wears off. GM hit a homer with the C7.

I got alot of attention in my yellow C6 but it had alot of cosmetic mods....however, it was still nothing compared to the amount of attention my C7 gets. Ive been asked numerous times what it is and even a few times.....at least 3 occasions....i was asked if it was a Ferrari. One guy thought it was a 360 lol. Anyhow, the car in my area gets all kinds of attention. Its like nothing ive experienced before and ive had alot of sports cars.

I had a really nice C5 and a gorgeous C7 but neither of them or any car I've ever owned been as much of a "head turner" than my Stingray. Even from non-car people and teenagers. Mine's just a 1LT base coupe and I had more people stop at my car and comment during the last car show I was in than every other vette there. Amazing.

Way more attention in 2.5 months, than the 8 plus years with 3 C6's! Driving through a park at 5 mph yesterday, and 2 people actually walked in front of the car, to stop me, to take pictures !

I think my black C6 vert got almost as much attention as my C7 does now.
This was one of my last rides before parking it for winter, then ultimately giving it up for my C7.
