I would like to see one.
If the mid-engine rumors are true and we see a switch to the C8 in 2020 (w/ a Zora in 2017), GM may not want to invest the time (or money) to design and manufacture one.
I saw a 2010 GS yesterday and man do I ever like the looks of that car.
I was wondering what (if anything) GM could do to the C7 to bump it's looks up the way the GS did to the base C6 model.

I do not think we will see a C7 GS. The C6 sales were tanking, the model run was long and GM needed to do something to prop up sales. Thus the wide body GS was introduced and helped a bit with sales.
The C7 is hot in every way and I think (hope) GM learned from their C6 errors and there will be no need to prop up sales.

I wouldn't want the extra weight unless they bump up the horsepower also. I prefer the sleek clean looks of the C7. I believe the widebody looked great on the C6 but not on this Stingray, the vette looks like a freakin exotic. Lots of people think it's a ferrari I don't need some weird widebody look.

Also, the base C6 sales TANKED when the GS was introduced. Hard to believe GM would make the same mistake again (but you never know!)

Personally I would buy a C7 GS coupe over a Z06 because I can make way more power with a centri than the Z06 ever will and still have that "look". C7 sales on base cars are already dropping fast as the market nears saturation so it is probable they will do the same thing again

You're assuming they made more money on the base coupe than a GS, which isn't true. The cost to GM to build a GS over a base was probably less than a third of the premium they charged. Your classification of this decision as a "mistake" doesn't jive with the profitability for GM by doing it.

I would say there is good chance they will offer a GS shortly to boost sales. After just 1 1/2 years in production, the C7 is seeing greater discounts off MSRP than the C6 saw after 2 1/2-3 years of production.
Consumer demand has slacked off for the Stingray and it's showing up in the discounts being offered. When the dealers start slowing down on their orders for inventory, GM will come out with the GS to spur sales.

Basically, the Z51 is a GS without the wide body. Since most of the Z06 parts are becoming available for the Z51 and base car, I see no reason to make a GS. Plus add all the aftermarket splitters and side skirts, the base cars look great.

I agree, albeit it was the dollar difference more than an automatic trans or convertible option that sold the GS. I believe the base price difference between the base GS and Z06 is around $25,000.00 and that will buy a nice second car for the average Corvette owner.

There is a $25,000 spread between the base C7 and the C7 Z06. Plenty of room in there to insert a GS that costs $10,000 more than the base C7.
