What does Kerbeck do with its trades?
Considering the number of new Corvettes that Kerbeck sells, why don't they have any nice used Corvettes? Are they so picky that they only keep the best and wholesale the rest? I may be in the market for a nice CPO C7 and am trying to find out which dealers to shop? Any recommendations?

I believe Dave from Kebeck posted about this not that long ago and said they keep trades about a week and if not sold they all go to auction. I agree about trade in values as I tried to trade in my '12 coupe at one time and they offered me 6K less than anybody else would give me. ( four different dealers )

I tried to trade my 05 vert with 2500 miles on a new 08 Z06 at Kerbeck. Their "expert" appraiser nitpicked my car and lowballed the car thousands under what I got for it a week later from another dealer. I now deal with MacMulkin and Tommy Jr although it is a 10 hour round trip. The manager at Kerbeck at the time told me they send all the trades to the Manheim auctions. Just my personal experience. I have seen many favorable posts for Kerbeck, but my loyalty is to Tommy Jr and his business model.

Don't understand why they don't keep the nicer trades especially those that could be certified.

If their business model is selling new Vettes, and they are sending most used ones to auction, their trade offers are not going to be huge. They of course have to make some money on these transactions. If they could sell the used ones easily at retail they probably would do so, and would offer more. I can see how a dealership specializing in new C7s might not generate a lot of customers looking for used ones.

Not everyone has a trade - my guess is most do not.
They and MacMulkin (who is relatively new to the world of volume Corvette dealers) were the first to discount the C7, offer the biggest discounts on C7's (as they have done for 20+ years) and are among the best for the sales experience for a Corvette.
I guess it is better to pay MSRP for a C7 and get $4,000 more for your trade then get a $6,000 discount on a new C7? No dealer is giving 9% discounts on new C7's and full NADA on trades.

Don't even try to trade there they offered half of what other dealers were offering I sold locally for a few more than I was being offered by any dealer. They would rather just push out the new vettes. Sell private don't try to get top dollar you'll still make out better than trading. And there's always a buyer for a good deal v on a vette.

I was told flat out that they wouldn't give me much for my trade in. I appreciate their honesty. I actually made out by selling my car to a group of gypsies here in the DC are.
Any one that complains about Kerbecks trade in policy or lack of it-you know it going into the sale-unlike a lot of unscrupulous car dealers. High trade in and low prices seldom meet.

You can't buy new at low prices and expect to get high trade in value for your car. You are better off to sell on your own and get more, then go to a forum dealer and buy low!
