Sounds perfect, good move! I picked up mine on a Thursday, and took my girlfriend on a roadtrip right away that weekend...great way to break-in a new car.

Be careful driving home. Those HP summer tires don't stick too well below 25 degrees F. It's darn cold right now in the mid Atlantic.

Yea I know weather changes daily but I checked how the 20th is suppose to be. Says almost 40 and a little rain so that would be ok. If it's below 30 and icey than it will sit a few days till I can get it.

I took my C7 on the Parkway today and did 75 mph for 2 hrs south to Cape May and back to Rt 287....and never had a problem with the temp in the low 20's. I had no traction problems, and it stopped just like it does when it's 90 degs outside.

Yes...Stock base Michelin Pilot SS summer tires.
BTW: I bought my Vette at Kerbeck this summer, and drove it home as you will be doing. That was the best ride I've ever had in a car. Something I'll never forget, cruzing up the Parkway in a new C7 for a couple hrs.....and today, after 2000 miles, it was just as much fun! My biggest concern was not getting salt on the tires, not the tires falling apart.

I'd talk to the guys at Kerbeck about the tires, and the ride home, but I've never had any issues with driving when it's cold, although I haven't done it a lot until recently when it's been colder in NJ.
