Dropped off my car for service on the flickering screen
Not feeling good about the service rep that greeted me. He took the info and he took me inside to get the loaner paperwork going. Apparently he then went out and tossed the fob onto the driver's seat and closed the door...
So a few minutes later he come in and tells me that my car is locked in the service drop-off area with the "key" inside. Normally I come by myself, but my wife decided to come along this time and she had her fob. I wonder what they would have done if the second fob wasn't there since I live 30 miles from the dealer.
Oh well, no damage and if they actually fix the screen I'll be happy...

Mine is set to chirp the horn 3x to let you know the key is inside.
Door will not lock.

please let us know what they did to fix the screen. Mine has gone from a couple times a month to every other day. I'm bringing mine in next week.
Good luck!

tell me more about the flickering screen, mine does the same thing, then goes blank but then comes back on, normal and it only does this once in a while......don't know if it's worth sending it to the dealer right now.

Replaced mine three weeks ago… Yes it just gets worse it never gets better until it's finally all black
it was early models of 2014 something to do with the connector at the bottom
but not from going up and down
Takes two visits .....to clear it up
one for them to diagnose it and order it
and second to put it in
about an hour or hour and a half all warranty

I'll just wait until it gets unbearable, right now it's not worth them fiddling around in there.

On the flicker, I did take a video with my phone, without that I doubt they would have done anything. But even though it has worked perfectly every time they have seen it, they decided to replace the screen anyway. Unfortunately they have to have one ordered so I won't know the result until next year...

Took me 4 visits . Don't let them tell you it's just a software update . It will not work . Finally fixed it with a new screen . Typical GM , they get it right , eventually . No problem once the new screen goes in . Good luck .....

There is an early service bulletin like last nov i think. But screen not avail until 2/14. They no longer are "hunting" for this problem. The procedure is 2 visits:
1. Diagnose and apply applicable updates, test for fix, failing test, order screen
2. Come in and they replace screen.
If you can shoot a phone video, do it.

Update. It took the dealer a week (over New Years) to get the part shipped in and a couple hours to install it. So far so good. Stable as a rock. They did the change based on my phone video without ever seeing the screen flickering, which was amazing to me. The service guy said mine was the 5th one they've swapped out, so I guess they needed no proof.
Only problem was they seemed to take the opportunity to change EVERY setting I had, not only on the Infotainment screen but also the steering wheel controlled displays and they left the seat so far forward that I couldn't even get in the car. (How hard is it to press the No.1 memory button?!) So good vehicle service but bad customer service...
