Interior Reading Lamps and Cargo Lamps - Bulb Replacement
I intended on replacing the OEM white reading lamp bulbs with amber bulbs tonight, but discovered that these lights are actually LED lights that appear to be built directly into a circuit board. The first photo I have attached shows the reading lamp with the cover off and the second photo shows the light assembly with the circuit board on the back side of the assembly.
I had purchased the bulbs listed in this eBay auction: http://www.ebay.com/itm/231422268750?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT hoping I could use them with the reading lamps. Since I could not, I decided to install them in the rear cargo area instead.
The following photos show how the light bulbs install into the rear cargo area lamps. The lamp cover assembly is what the bulb plugs into and the lamp cover assembly then plugs into another connection point.
Update:
I posted a new thread with details on how to remove the rear view mirror, a-pillar trim, and reading lamps here: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...m-removal.html
In order to produce yellow light from the reading lamp LEDs, I got some yellow window tint and cut it into circles the size of a quarter. I even used a quarter as my pattern guide. I then applied the circle tint pieces to the lamp housings in order to cover the bulb area. In order to get to the desired yellow, I used three pieces on each side. This is the result:

Oooo, I like the yellow, Jeremy!
I might do red for my reading lights. I've already done my Cargo/Trunk bulbs in white. I got mine from Diode Dynamics in St. Louis.

Thanks! I have a "fix" for doing yellow on the reading lamps that I'm going to try and will post the results once I have a solution.

Will tel you what I did. Buy some plastic they sell to over cracked tail lights. Take cover off and cut a piece to cover the bulb. Peel off the protective cover and cover the bulb. The re-attach cover. I used red.
