VHT Nite Shades - Black Out Taillight Spray
Has anyone tried using this product to black out rear tail lights. I am interested in knowing how to apply and if it really works. Also, are there legal issues if you paint the tail lights?

I removed my lights and did two light coats. The lights are still very bright and had no problem getting a sticker.

I've had good luck with it. Just 2 - 3 light coats - don't get carried away.

I bought some and still am afraid of it...I made test samples on some clear acrylic. Tried to make 2 identical panels, but could not...extremely variable product, and once you spray you can't go back....don't go there is my advice.

Burning Brakes
Unfortunately, that requires removing the rear fascia,
which is a pita...
but worth it...
don't sweat the "legal issues"
that is of concern only if you spray
the charcoal grill black paint from the outside
so you can't see the light at all, like honda slammers
If you do it right, no light is blocked at all when lights
are on or brakes applied....
