Mine had 3 miles when it arrived at the dealer and 6 when I picked it up. The complete PDI check list included setting up the Nav to this region and and a lot of other things. Never realized they checked so many items.

Pre delivery BURN OUT competition. Nothing to worry about.

I bet it was that dastardly ex-valet that took that other poor cry baby's car for a 3 second acceleration ride of terror.
Decline delivery, and go pick another one up. But don't let it get delivered by rail; cause you'll have to wait until after dinner to pick it up.

My 2015 A8 had to have a drive audit to check the transmission (a service bulletin was issued earlier this year, I am not finding the details right now)...car was fine, but yes, added miles on it. Came with 12 miles on it. No biggie.

Mine had 42 miles on it...directly from the factory...requested a thorough Q C Audit on car and Q C Test Drive....car arrived in perfect condition..have 5800 miles on car and it's a perfect car...no issues

My car arrived at the dealer with two miles on the clock. The dealer test drove the car and filled the fuel tank. Total miles at delivery; five. I know the gas station is a mile from the dealer, opp's check actually performed by dealer was about one mile. Seems reasonable to me.

the normal qa check adds right at 24 miles to a car that is selected. Mine arrived with 24 miles on it
the next way to verify if your car was selected as part of the factories qa is to look at your bt phone screen and see if a phone has been paired to you car by a lady named judy.
they could have reduced the number of miles they roll up but they do have a set pre-determined route so anything less is a mystery.
Maybe the test was interrupted for some unknown reason.

Are you kidding me...YES a whopping 14 miles. Give me a freaking break.
Go buy a real exotic car (Ferrari McLaren, etc) and you'll see 50-60 miles on it as they really test it.
So don't worry, there was probably an issue with it at the factory and they had to figure out why it was broken. Enjoy the car and how hilarious you;d evne post such a thread.

LOL! 14 miles?
Of my 4 new Ferrari's, the lowest was 65 and the highest 123.
Did they drive it all the way from Italy?
14 to me sounds average. They have some running tests they do to check for leaks, squeaks and such.

The OP wasn't complaining, just questioning.
He ordered a car, and it came with enough miles on it to wonder who has been driving it (and why). I can see that.
Entirely different from buying a new car off the lot. I've bought many new ones, with anywhere from 4 to 300 miles on the Odometer. Only one of then was a special order (not a Vette, a Honda POS) and that one had 6 miles on the ODO.
Too bad my POS Honda wasn't one who had an extra few miles on it due to QC.
