Hopefully they get your issue fixed, but too bad you had to go through all this hassle to get it done. And yes, the joyride would really pizz me off.

I have NEVER taken ANY car to ANY dealer (or ANY 3rd party service repair place for that matter) and not had them note the mileage when writing up the work order

On 2015s with PDR (the video camera in the mirror), an unshielded coax cable can cause the GPS antenna (also in the mirror) to fail. when you bring up the NAV screen the GPS symbol has a red X, indicating it can't talk to a satellite to establish a location. Without a GPS signal the NAV doesn't work as it should.
Can you please provide the GM bulletin reference #? Thanks.

They did, and I remembered it. That's how I knew (40+ miles). Plus, the trip meter records the average MPG for the last 50 miles (or whatever you set it to), and mine was 3 MPG lower than average.

A dealer kept my 2004 coupe for 3 weeks. Almost 100 miles later, and a toll jump ticket, I got the car back. I promptly sold it, and got stupid, bought a 2015 coupe.

I'll try to make this short. My 2015 TR, M7, Z51, 3LT, has the Red X issue. As many have noted, a simple fix. Gave the dealer the bulletin and the instructions. Result, no fix, tech takes it for a 40 mile joy ride. Dealer apologizes, but says fix must come from GM. OK, call GM, get a case number (with the Infotainment dept.). A WEEK later they call me back, say I need to leave my car with the dealer for a few days so they can diagnose the problem! The problem they know exists! With a fix they know exists! With the dealer that raped my car!
I'm I wrong to think this is extremely bad customer service? When I asked to elevate the ticket the GM tech basically blew me off. Told me they might call me if they weren't too busy. I'm very open to suggestions. I'm so pissed now I'm ready to hand them the keys and walk away. I love this car, but do I have 5 more years of crappy service to look forward to?

Dealer is always the best recourse (unfortunately not yours). Most are very good at taking care of problems as long as requests are reasonable.
Other dealer's service departments will likely help you out.

Reminds me of my wife's 2012 overpriced AWD ..... It had a bad noise in the steering like a power steering pump going bad. She took it to the dealer she bought it from and it had 12,000 miles on it. After the service manager drove it and they kept it for a couple of days, the verdict was that it had a problem and neither them nor the mfg knew what it was. This was very assuring to her. In other words, just live with it. Guess what, got rid of it and bought a Toyota.
