Ordered my first stingray Feb 1 from my local dealer, I was put on a waiting list.
March 3rd at the age of 58 i had a heart attack, no symptons at all complete surprise.
When i got home from the hospital I joined this forum and learned a lot... first thing
I learned, The small local dealer really had no allocations. I ordered from Kerbeck and had
my car delivered 27 days later to my house. Feeling fine and enjoying life with a corvette,
Thanks forum members for all the advice, Remember you only get one life!

The problem is, where I'm going (not heaven) there probably aren't any corvettes. I'll probably end up with a yugo. Better get it in this life.

all joking aside, I made my wife watch it and it got me teary eyed man... It's my wife thats preggo, not me! I'm the emotional one lately!!!!

Certainly is a life changing experience when that bullet proof, "it ain't gonna happen to me", kid inside each of us gets that wake up call.

While such a wake up call isn't license to live beyond your means or go over your head in debt, but...............if you are able to afford things that you really want, do not deny yourself.

I nearly cancelled taking delivery on my newly ordered and at the dealership (ready to be picked up) C7 when I was diagnosed with melanoma. Told them that depending on how my Dr. visit went, they could keep the car and my deposit. I really didn't care about anything other than getting my affairs in order and not leaving my wife with a mess.

Fortunately, it was caught in time, removed and I'm driving my new C7.

Certainly put my life's outlook into perspective.

I'll probably be there with you. That is why I bought a Red one.

Thanks everyone for sharing your life story here. I knew that I could identify with a lot of scenes in the video, but it has touched many of you far beyond my own experience. We make many choices in life, but I think we all realize how Corvettes have played into our own personal life story.

BTW - I don't think the theology is exactly correct at the end. I doubt there are any ZR1's in heaven!
