To change out one of the light bulbs in these cars requires disassembly and removal of the front nose to take off the light pods to get at the damn bulbs. I plan on changing to 6K bulbs and I really do not look forward to having to remove all of that to get at the damn bulbs!

WOW, if that isn’t the truth. I think the dealer would have reason to think that the owner did it.
I’d suspect that a service oriented dealer would not question how it happened but would just take care of it for the sake of customer satisfaction. Don

I just did my grill tonight and mine were still intact . Wish I would have paid more attention to it though to see if it was cracked at all

"... Plastic Composites, PCC™, provides you with a broad range of fiberglass..."
Usually, the term fiberglass implies the use of polyester resin, whereas carbon fiber products are usually made with epoxy resin. Other combinations are possible, depending on design requirements and manufacturing considerations, but they're all plastic composites.
It's always best to use the same type resin for repairs.

You take the front bumper off your car to detail it, and my wife thinks I'm nuts for just clay barring and putting several coats of zaino on my car. I won't even get into cleaning my guns.
I need to let her read what you do maybe I won't get as much flack.
More power to you though. We all have our idiosyncrasies here.

Well if it was me and they weren't going to replace the whole piece then I would have 2 stainless pieces sandwich between the broken piece !!! You would seal the two pieces with either glue or pop rivet it ( try practice piece 1st ) and curl the top piece over the bottom ---cut hole and weld square screw piece !! Use template form the other side and turn it over !!! This kind of thing happened when my wife came into another car on an attempted lane change and it ripped the rear bumper cover off like opening a sardine can and because too many holding brackets came off it couldn't be repaired so a new cover was ordered !!! I am curious myself why there has been no update to this thread from the OP.
If anything, reassemble it and then complain to the dealer there is a noise in the front and let them discover the problem.
I can only guess that the dealer is going to say the OP broke it and it's on his dime.
I could be wrong.
