Some charge extra, some do not...
My local dealer in AZ (bought mine from Kerbeck) charged me $30 extra for Mobil1, but I've heard some people say they switched to Mobil1 for no up charge. I guess it's up to the dealer to decide what they charge. But one thing is for sure, you should get the first 4 oil changes for free during the first 24 months if you stay with the brand used at the factory.

Correct, factory fill is not Mobil 1 and GM only covers the factory fill (Dexos) under the 2 year free maintenance. We charge customers the cost difference between Dexos and Mobil 1 should they choose a Mobil 1 oil change (usually around $20).

Dealer makes the call on when and what goes into the car and any additional charges. Don

Bought my 2 jugs of Mobil 1 at Walmart for $21.88 ea and did it myself. I know what's in there and know it was done right. BTW, 10.3 or 9.8 is WAY too much oil in a Z51.

My local dealer put in Mobil 1 at no extra charge. I thought that was really nice, considering I didn't buy the car from them (they had no allocations.)

Specification
Use and ask for licensed engine oils with the dexos1® approved certification mark. Engine oils meeting the requirements for the vehicle should have the dexos1 approved certification mark. This certification mark indicates that the oil has been approved to the dexos1 specification.
Corvette recommends Mobil 1® engine oils that meet the requirements of the dexos1 specification for its dry sump equipped engines

I was told 10.2 quarts at the museum on the Z51 with a dry sump when I had a museum delivery and Mobil 1 is the preferred oil to use. I also was told by my dealer (not the one I bought from) I could have 4 oil changes anytime during the first two years.

this is what Palmetto Chevy in Conway SC told me, just pay the difference between dexos and mobil1.

The 2015 manual page reflects the same numbers as the corrected 2014 manual....
10.2 quarts is asking for trouble. Most who take the time to look in their intakes have seen the oil burps firsthand from the overfill, me included.
Plenty of discussion on this if you search. I like many fill with 9-9.4 quarts and have the oil about 1/3 up the hash marks. No more oil burps... This liquid oil in the intake can be a very bad thing if ingested in any quantity in the engine.

Go here and look on page 12-2 for the proper fluid levels.

This was incorrect early information on fill quantity. Did you read the manual and/or update insert that was in the 2014 deliveries?
