I have no regrets at all. So much so that we're buying another one. I'm actually glad I have the non-Z51 car. It's definitely easier to keep the wheels clean.

Z51
Quote" Maybe, but lots of folks here buying the Z51 who will never track their car, and for these folks its understandbley more about bragging rights and the look of the bigger wheels."
I am a 1st time Corvette owner and I opted for the 2015 base M7 with NPP as a daily driver. I didn't want the added complexity of the Z51 E-Diff and dry sump. So far I am really pleased with the car and it's "everyday driver usefulness". I track a Saleen SC Mustang regularly and have signed up for the 3 Day Spring Mountain C7 deal which use the C7 Z51.
I figure if I like the C7 Z51 so much after the 3 day school I will just sell my base 2015 C7 and buy a Z51. No big deal.

Got my C7 M7 2lt non-z51. I love it in every angle. reason why i chose this simply because i love to customize/modify my car. But to be honest, at one point i did regret not having the dry sump, ELSD, tran cooler and functional vent. but after knowing that they could all be added. I was satisfied with my decision than ever. good luck with your purchase, the C7 will never do you wrong.

No regrets at all. I have 15,000 miles on my 3LT, M7, NPP car and have loved every mile. Great car. I opted for a base because I had a set budget and spent money on the interior where I spend a lot of time.

NOT A SINGLE ONE.......and seeing as how I drive my everyday back and forth to work....100 miles round trip.....AND I never intend to track my car......I get a bit better gas mileage then a Z51 car.....EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS

No regrets at all. I actually like the base rims better than the tuning fork Z51's. Plus, I put a Procharger on and love the the base sleeper look with no spoiler.

I bought the base car, Shark Grey with Adrenaline Red 3LT interior and ZF1 appearance package. The only "performance" option I bought was the NPP exhaust. I'm totally happy with my decision. Before you buy ask yourself "what do I want this car for?" For myself I wanted a luxury sports car. The stock car has way more performance than I need or can handle. For those who want blinding speed and go cart type cornering you'll want upgrades. Good luck!

Ordered a 2 LT without Z-51 and I love it......the car rides so much smoother than a car with the Z-51 package....I have no intentions of tracking the car. Will go with Z06 aftermarket wheel as soon as they are available...prefer that wheel design over the z-51 wheel. Wish I had not ordered NPP Exhaust and ordered Corsa Extremes instead

I have no regrets. I'll never have mine on a road course.

You can't go wrong either way . Mine is base with 2300 miles and I love it

No regrets. There are advantages to having the Base car without Z51 and advantages to having the Base car with Z51. I'm enjoying the advantages of the former.
Happy I chose NPP. Love the NPP sound.

Why would you switch back and forth. Does it screw up your odometer and speedometer ?

agreed, a couple advantages you don't know you have, until you live with the car
1. the brakes do not dust at all you can see, I can clean my wheels monthly if i wanted, and still look good. The z51 wheels are dirty almost immediate on rolling.
2. the oil $ for a change is significantly cheaper as it's 3 quarts less
3. the car never burps oil, the level is not so important to get right
4. the car is a lot less complex long term with things I really don't need
5. the discs don't rust on sitting, made of some fancy unobtainium stuff...
