I got quotes from some other companies and they were even higher. What up wit dis....'they said' that when a new model comes out they don't know how much it will cost to fix it so they guess high until the actual figures come out. Didn't happen when I went from C5 to new C6. In fact Ive been paying about the same for the last 20 years with slight annual increases and all Corvette.

Mine went down a little from what I was paying for my '08 coupe.

No extra cost for mine.
Keep checking around!

Mine was surprisingly cheap to insure. When I asked why so low - wanting to make sure I really had insurance - I was told because my wife and I have 3 cars and only two of them get driven at a time, the cost for the third wasn't that much. We've had 3 cars for years.

Mine went up a few dollars, I assume, attributable to the difference in value from a 2010 to a 2014 Corvette.

My insurance with USAA went up about $300.00 per year from my 2012 C6 coupe, to my 2014 C7 Vert. I consider it just the "cost of doing business"...

They are screwing you.
Talk to someone higher up and get them to cover you at a reasonable rate for the same coverage as your C6.
Carbon fiber hoods and roofs are much more expensive to replace, btw.
I pay 1350 annually on mine, at 27 years old and a clean record. Not that bad IMO.
I was quoted as high as 240 per month when looking around.
Some places are looking for a sucker and not minding screwing people over.

I got mine from Adam and Bobbie Jo from NCM for less than $700/year.

Since I am retired and none of my 3 cars are "driven to work daily", they are all considered "for pleasure use".
My rate did go up some over my C5Z06, but it is still about $800/yr.
My 2010 Camaro is about $500, and Malibu is $430.
I know there may be better rates, but don't see how anyone could get insurance for $200/yr. Even just minimum liability would be more than that.

Mine went up $124/year from a 2012 Grand Sport to a 2015 Stingray. MSRP was the same, a tad over $70K for both cars, and the insurance increase was entirely due to the difference in value for collision coverage (at $1,000 deductible.) AMICA.

Agree price around.
59/mo full coverage c-5
71/mo full coverage c7
But...multi car, long time customer, multi policy/clean record discounts.
Also, some places steeply discount if you pay in full instead of monthly payments.
