Default Tire recommendation for driving in rain & sleet

Hi All,
I live in WA state and it's well known that fall and winter in WA is basically cloudy and rainy. while i don't get more than 1-2 inches of snow during the winter, i do commute in the rain. Anyone have recommendations on tires that i should consider? I'm ok with winter or All-Seasons but they have must good grip on wet roads and cold temperatures (between 30-50F)

Your options vary depending on whether or not you have a Z51.

I live in Seattle and got my Z51 last dec 2013. Weather mode and just caution when applying throttle. Super sports are ok 35+ temps. If below freezing use another car. If snow/ice on hills use another car. Other forum members do well with Michelin all weather Pilot sport A/S. Depends of how often you are driving this winter.

I bought some cheaper wheels (not forged) and put Michelin AS3's on them.

I do have the Z51 wheels 19/20 but I bought 18/19 for the winter but with the tires they are the same diameter. More meat for potholes as well.

I will be changing them out once the mornings start getting below the 40's on a regular basis. It gets colder than the 30's here in KY.

I had these on my old GT500 and they were much better than the summer tires in cold temps.

Thank you for the advice. I have ordered a Z51 so will get the 19/20 set by default but looking at 18/19 for winter driving since 19/20 winter sets are hard to find.

Did you test fit the 18's on the z51? I thought 19's are the smallest we could use?

I like the Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires I got for my Z51 last year. I switched back to the stock Michelins for the summer. I'm looking forward to going back to the Contis, except for the fact the are not run flats.

I also see that Michelin has a tire called the Pilot Alpin PA4, which appears to be a serious winter weather tire. I don't personally know of anyone that's tried them.
