It's sort of a loop hole. You basically issue a secondary card on the same account in the name of the person who wants to use the points. Once they use the points you cancel the card.
Still looking for points, if anyone is interested please PM me. I'm looking to do something soon.
Thanks!
Just a thought on GM points. At 5% it is one of the most generous offers out there, provided you intend to by a GM product. After I purchased my 2013 in Dec, 2012 (and used my 2950 points as a discount) I put everything we spend monthly on the card; groceries, gas, Home Depot, car insurance, homeowners insurance, cable bill, phone bill, even our taxes! In 15 months we accumulated 4000 points. We had so many, we stopped using it. But we will be buying a couple new cars in the next few years, so they will get used.
Just sign up with a credit union, you will get the supplier discount.. goto www.mygmdiscount.com. They will give you a supplier ID to use and you will save between 5-7k on your purchase.. That's what I just did.. They have a list of credit unions you can join on that site..
