Dealer has my car listed on his website for sale
Is this common practice to list all cars even the ones that are specially ordered and sold on dealer Web Sites ?
Like the title says, my order (has my VIN) is listed for sale.
Sent him an email but will probably not hear back until Tuesday.
What does everyone think about this ?

Mine shows on my dealers site as "in transit".. it's in my garage.
Kinds like the tracking system. Out of date.

Thanks, I kind of thought it was something like that. I know he is trying to build his Corvette business, so I thought he was just doing a bit of advertising that he has a new 15 either in stock or coming in.
Still a little weird when I saw the description and my VIN attached.

I asked one of the forum dealers why this was and they said as soon as a car gets a VIN, it shows up on their website regardless whether it is a sold order or not and they have no control of that. I would guess this is probably because the dealer's website pulls the data from the same source as the GM vehicle search site.

May be a glitch in their computer system but I'd make them aware of it before someone else puts money on it from the website.
Congrats on the car.

My order showed "Inbound" and then available until the day that I picked it up. It can also be used to attract more buyers. I know when I was looking to buy, I called the dealer thinking that other cars were available and that is when I was told that they were all customer's orders. Not to worry your car will be there.

It brings people into the showroom looking for your car because it is one they would like to own.
When corvette mike bought my 10 GS, in 2011, it was still parked in my garage he had it advertised with 5 miles on it when the car had 1500 on it.
The idea is to get people in the store.
