Any tips or tricks I would need to use, or pitfalls to watch out for? Also, I've seen pictures of these with CF base mounts and plain black bases. Which way do yours come? Thanks.

Thank you for asking, I have not had any negative feed back on the installation but it does require some automotive skill, you have to remove your door panel to get into the inside of the door, the mirror has to be removed and then the electronics and motorized hardware has to be transferred from the old mirror to the new mirror. On the c7 corvette you are only replacing the mirror housing the carbon flash metallic base will stay and be reused. Thanks, Don
