Whats the price? Quick search didn't reveal anything other than speculation?

It's a bit more than speculation.

I think it makes the ZR1 much less desirable and it will kill the prices.

Why are so many people concerned about ZR1 prices if they are such an undesirable car? I mean, who the hell would even want one of those things anyway.

Why would you care if they're more affordable if they're so terrible in comparison

Get a Z06 fully optioned so that it is actually comparable to a ZR1 you're going to be at around $100k. While I fully admit that I am surprised by how low the price of the base Z06 is, it looks like they accomplished that by making everything an option.

ZR1's will probably drop to the $50-70K range depending on milage & options. There were already many available for under the $70K mark before the C7Z06 price was announced. I cant imagine too many people would now be interested in spending upwards of $70K for an older USED Corvette, when $9K more will get you the fastest, best performing NEW Corvette.. with a factory fresh 5yr/100k warranty.

Well, if you want to perform like the old ZR1, add $10k to that for cermaic brakes.

Back in January, a lot of people said that the price of a base Z06 would be in the high 70's. Then there were plenty of people that said those people were idiots. Today, with the starting price announced as $78,995, which ones are the idiots that are eating crow this morning?

I bet that the markup on the z06 is at least $15k...if not more. Pushing the price of the z06 towards $100k. It wont drive down the prices on the zr1 but it will be interesting to see what happens to the non-z06 C7.

Not if you order one and can get one at MSRP.

I bet you will see a few sold at $30k over MSRP.

Just saw a 2010 Zr1 asking for 68,000. Good luck now
