Default C7's at Upcoming Texas Mile

Any of you guys going to run your C7 in the Texas Mile this October?

I'll be running one of my C6s, and joining up with a couple buds of mine, but wondered if anybody in here with a 7 would be there. Would be good to meet up with some more CF members and hopefully see some C7s run.

Not me. It's pretty stock so I don't feel like getting beat by a modified C6 or C5

That is the most ridiculous response I have ever heard. You WILL get beat by a C6. There are C6's running in the 220 MPH range, that would take at least 1200 WHP in a C7. The point of the mile is to go out there and to compete with yourself, no one else.

I am sorry I know I am a lurker but I have lots of experience with the mile. These are the kind of posts of people that will never actually go.

+1......unless you are looking to set a new record, just running the Texas mile has to be the most fun you can have with the car in a straight line. I will make it there and have fun no matter what I bring.........Steve

I would really like to see a stock LS3 coupe C6 vs. C7 at this kind of event.

From what I've seen in the forum a stock C7 runs about. 160 in the Mile. I have run my S/C Meth 5.0 3 times at the Mile with my best being 178. I would like to beat that with my C7

The 10-2014 event was sold out in less than one day.

You can still see some fast cars.R

It's hard to believe there aren't more of these staged around the country. I know of a couple, but it would sure be nice if there was one near me. I'd love to do this, but TX is probably the closest, and it's an 11 hour drive from here.

I was going to ask what a typical C7 would do, so thanks for posting the 160 mph info.

Cheers,
Rusty

It's about 11 hours for me as well with the usual pit stops. I've gotten pretty used to the drive - I think this will be the 8th year in a row I've gone. Best I've done it in is 9.5 hours. . . .

They seem to attract folks from all over the country. You'll see guys there from the east and west coasts even.

Fun event.
