My opinion only ... Vert with top up looks good. Coupe with top on looks better. Vert with top down looks better than coupe with top on or off. Vert with top down has the lines of a bullet.

I hear ya brother! 13 Chicago winters with my C6 stored in the garage. Living in Georgia now was the first time I had ever driven my vette in Dec, Jan, Feb. The weather here is made for top down driving.

Vert is the only way to go in SoCal. Love it.

Nothing beats driving with the top down, well almost nothing....

For me a convertible is the way to enjoy a vette.

Both look great to me. I have a coupe and love it.

Oh! It would be easier to use a spring loaded center punch on a window.

I would agree with you if we were talking about a C4, C5, or C6 vert. To me they always looked like someone cut the top off a 'Vette and stapled a piece of canvas to the car to cover the hole. However, in my opinion, Chevy has done a much better job with the C7 of working the lines of the convertible top into the rest of the car. It is still not quite where I think it could be (e.g., BMW 6 Series, Jaguar XK), but still much improved in my opinion..

I have owned my C7 vert for a few months now and the look with the top up has really grown on me. I now do not automatically drop the top when someone wants to check out the car (unless I am demonstrating the really awesome top down power sequence. Man, does this car have servos or what??).

I like both, but the lines on the Vert look better IMO, especially the AW with the Black top, it has class and sleek lines!

...and at the end of the day, the vert is a true "roadster". Isn't that what it is all about?

If you are on the fence about getting a convertible over a coupe. Get the convertible.

This car makes me feel like a rock star with all the attention it gets.
YEP!

200,000 miles + on Verts. The vast majority of those miles are with the top down. There is no way I would have driven with the top down if it wasn't so easy (twist a handle and push a button). Now, I only have to push a button.

I'm not even counting the 145,000 miles on my '2000 Mustang convertible with a power top. It did go or down in 7-8 seconds flat.

First Vette for me and it is the convertible. Top down is without peer. Even with the top up it is a beautiful car. And the loss of the rear vents in the vert is a plus, at least to me. I don't live in a southern climate - never will just because I love snow and skiing - and I expect to use my Vette through November...

The way to settle this dilemma is quite simple. If you can afford it, purchase a coupe and a convertible. You can pick and choose which days to drive which model and hopefully you are splitting the wear and tear and maintenance costs down the middle. So in effect, you are actually saving money.

Next time, we need an event coordinator! I'll be back next July!

Yea he has all sorts of great spots! Next time you come in, we'll have more C7s in the area as well. We can get together and do a big shoot. He'd love that! He's such a car fanatic, he makes the shoots a lot of fun.

He does some cool shots with light and seams them together too. He hasn't shot my C7 yet, but here is my Hummer and CTS V along the Cincy skyline.
