Default Mats?

I see that Lloyds Ultimats are a popular accessory with many forum members. Is there a practical reason for having these or is it a simple matter of looking better than the stock mats provided by GM?

Stock mats are a bit cheezy. The Lloyds are quite nice..

The GM mats have next to no pile while the Lloyds are plush and thick.

As my C7 is a DD, I am leaving the Lloyds in for the nice summer weather and replace them with the GM ones when the weather turns crappy

I was very disappointed at how cheezy the Stingray emblem high dollar oem mats were!!! Lloyds are well worth the money and I am getting the flags in black ones that are deep pile and just look classy. Third Vette, third set of Lloyds!!!

Much nicer than OEM.

If you get the Luxe Series - They have a Polyurethane Core that
keeps liquid from penetrating the mat and getting to your carpet.

Default color mats

You can get Lloyds mats in something besides 3 "colors", black, grey, or brownstone. Not perfect matches but can be a nice contrast on the dark carpet.

Do you prefer the Luxe version of the Lloyds mats with the deep pile or do you use the Lloyds Ultimats?

If you can get them in KALAHARI or as close to that OEM color I and probably a lot of other members would be interested in purchasing them.
A picture of them in that color would be nice.
Thanks

What exactly is it that makes them more comfortable?

Chris...can you get them in black with a torch red trim around the edge (with the Stingray logo)?

Another forum member has them in his vehicle:

Yes,

The red trim is $11 per mat ($22)

It's a manual order. PM me the type of Mat, color, logo and your email
address and I can send you an email invoice.

Sorry, there is nothing close to that yet, but they are working in it.

The stock GM mats certainly leave a bit to be desired. I'm going to seriously look at aftermarket once I get a little more comfortable with my finances after buying this car. The stock will be nice to have for the winter though. And of course better than not having any at all!

Default Just got mine...

The GM mats are cheap looking. I just got my Torch Red Ultimats from CCA and they look great in my Torch Red 3LT. I'll post some pics shortly.

PS....Thanks Chip @ CCA.

I bought mine with Stingray logo's when I added the Stingray sill plates. They look great and have a much thicker, softer pile.

Stingray Sill and Mat
How difficult is it to swap out the sill plates?
