Xtreme Xperience Pits C7 Against Major Exotics
I guess if you're going to be compared with the big dogs like Ferrari and Lamborghini, you've got to take the bad and the good. It’s the price of the fame and star power that the Corvette is experiencing.
Hell, the fact that the 'Vette is even considered a serious contender now among these much pricier heavyweights says a lot.
That said, to get a better sense of how well the new Stingray holds up to the rank of “supercar”, the team at Xtreme Xperience pitted the C7 against the Lamborghini LP560-4 Gallardo, a Ferrari F-430, a Ferrari 458 Italia, Porsche 911 Turbo and the Nissan GT-R.

Safety Car
I did the Xtreme Experience at Hallett this past June. I did not drive the Corvette, but did drive the Ferrari, Lamborghini, Audi, and Nissan. The Corvette had to be parked 4 times in the two hours that I was driving for boiling brake fluid. They offered the Corvette drivers a Ferrari swap if they wished. After 15 or 20 minutes the Corvette would be back out on the track.
I'm not bashing the C7 here, just relating the experience I had on a specific day and time at the track.

Racer
I had a different one. The C7 was on lap after lap while the Ferrari was having cooling issues. The LP560 I drove was a boring snooze fest that I expect to much more from. The car I wanted to drive originally had too long of a line, so I told them I'd drive the Lambo. What a mistake that was.
