3M Paint Defender Spray Film
Anyone try this stuff. Does it go on invisibly and last? I could see a nightmare in the wrong hands.

Not very good reviews and should only be considered in limited situations and only for a short time. Prior discussions:

This seems to be a product with potential, but every bit of info from those who have actually used it is helpful.

My neighbor works for 3M and is in the know on the product, his department works closely with the other department that developed the product. He applied the product on his daily driver this week. Its a complicated to apply- it goes on heavy, really heavy. Not what you would expect. You have little time between coats.
It took a bit to get the product applied properly, a lot of testing. Once he got the hang of it-its pretty good finish wise. No one knows the longevity other than the product info from 3M yet in all environments.
I can say its looks pretty good but I see it a season to season type application. Once you apply- if you wax well before and want to remove it you can in decent size sections.
