You guys are great - I am enjoying this thread - Thought I might get interesting replies - Actually, I think the bad guys would probably think this was an official ICE vehicle and stay away - Get flashes from the constabulary in following me and passing me - By the way, ICE deported 400,000 criminal aliens the year I retired - Nice way to go out

Being CBP that is the only thing I saw. The sticker in the middle is referred to as the Thin Blue Line, it identifies LEOs between each other, normally these stickers are suppose to be sold only to identified Law Enforcement Officers, and sold only at stores that provide LEO uniforms and equipment, and require credentials. However, appears many who are not LEOs have them. If you are stopped by an Officer you have that sticker on your car, and cannot produce identification, well you will get a ticket without doubt. If you have this sticker and are stopped and identify yourself as an LEO, you still are NOT immune from getting a ticket, and if you are speeding, especially in a Corvette, chances are regardless of what you have on your car, you will get a ticket.

That is a STICKER (Black and Blue stripes) in the center. And if I remember correctly illegal to do in state of Maryland, but in Virginia they say nothing....

"Normally" according to what requirement/law? I don't believe there is any such requirement or law.

I got my sticker while at ICE, but they are easily obtained elsewhere. Yes, if you have the sticker, you better be able to identify yourself. I can identify myself. However, the public may not be aware, that in retirement, former federal officers and agents may carry weapons, under certain conditions. They still have to qualify with their weapons periodically. Even in retirement, law enforcement courtesy applies. I was once stopped in another vehicle that had the sticker, but nothing came of it when I identified myself. Retired Feds are able to get post retirement identification.

The sticker represents the "Thin Blue Line (TBL)" of law enforcement. As a retired Marine CID agent, I have TBL stickers on my other vehicles. However, I hesitate to put one on the 'Vette. Among many reasons is the conflicting message I would send if pulled over. The "mixed message" being a Thin Blue Line sticker on the back bumper with a radar detector hanging off the mirror...

I fully understand "law enforcement courtesy" but please tell us why you "better be able to identify yourself," presumably as a present or past LEO, if you get stopped with that sticker on your car. There is no requirement, regulation, law, or anything else that says only active or retired LEOs can have such a sticker on their car. If an LEO stops someone with that sticker for the sole purpose of asking for ID to have it that's an illegal stop.

As for carrying, I have my concealed carry permit, which is recognized in a lot of other states, so that's not a big deal either, at least for me.

I've never seen a sticker like that here in the Midwest. Here we see a lot of bumper stickers with two yellow bars with blue between them. I think it's the equal rights sticker of the Human Rights Campaign. Stickers on the license plate are illegal in this area but sticking it on the bumper would look worse on a Corvette.

It's a diaper, not a sheet.

It's a tarp, and the carbon fiber side skirts and front splitter did not show well on grass or black pavement, and so the light tarp to better show the Carbon Fiber

Many of my law enforcement friends do not take kindly to a motorist falsely representing selves as present or former LEO

Maryland law makes it illegal to deface or alter a license tag. Hope you are not stopped by LE
