Default First visit to dealer for new C7

I am about to take my C7 to the dealer for the 1K mile check. I would like to get the oil changed for the first time. Am I going to encounter resistance from the dealer about changing the oil so early? Seems to me it should not matter since it would count as 1 of the 4 I am allowed during the first 2 years. Any input would be appreciated.

firstvetteowner,

Thanks for your post and great to hear about your appointment. Keep us posted on the results of your dealer visit. If necessary, I can contact their designated Customer Experience Manager if you have any additional questions. We'll look forward to your updates .

It depends on the dealer--my dealer said we get 4 free whenever we want them for the first 2 years.

I would like to know Chev Cust Serv here has to say about it as well.

As I posted elsewhere, I was told by both the Cust Serv 800# and webchat that the so-called 20% rule is correct

They figure you may die?? Then don't have to do the oil change!!That's how most scum bag dealerships are??So they have a exact time frame?? I bought my car at macmullkins in NH with old black oil, Chipmunks nest in the air filter, Dirty body+ interior. Typical scum bag dealers!!!!

Under Chevrolet's 2-Year Scheduled Maintenance coverage with the purchase or lease of new 2014 Chevrolet models, the four service visits that include the ACDelco Oil Filter Change (excluding the Spark EV) can be performed at the owner's discretion for the first 2-years or 24,000-miles (whichever comes first).

You need to reconcile that with the other CS sources I previously posted. Because they are not in sync with your statement
