Rear Brake Vents for a Vert?
I know they would not be operational do to the Top, But is it possible to just install the grills for appearance purposes?

I assume putting holes there would not be a good idea. Some sort of double sided tape to hold the top of the vent trim if this is a must item for you. I do not see it, but if you like, so be it.

The grill without the tubing would work.
As for the look of it, I'm not head over heels with it, I just think there is a lot of real estate back there and the vents might break it up a little.

BTW, when you post on a large, anonymous, internet chat board you will get opinions. That's the entire point of a chat board.

I would not do it, they were not put on for a reason. I believe I read the convertible top mechanism extends to that area under the body shell, and needs the open space to use as the top goes up and down, thus they never installed them on the top but put them on the bottom of the car. I would do much more research before I cut holes to put a vent that has no purpose and is just for cosmetics. This convertible is one of the best designed drop tops that I have ever had, and unlike past Corvettes, everything on this car in place has a specific purpose and was designed that way. I would really think this out before I would cut into this body to put vents on it.

OK, how's this: I have no doubt it could be done, but to do it right so it doesn't damage the car would take a lot more than simply cutting a hole and sticking it on. For example, if that's all you do without the underlying vent tubing, water will drain somewhere you probably don't want it draining and sitting. If you put it on the panel that covers the top when it's down the water will drain into that area and then into the trunk; a very bad idea. Aesthetics aside, I don't see it as a very good idea for this reason alone. YMMV.

If you would have replied with this answer the first time it would have been very helpful as it makes a lot of sence. I didn't think about the water issues, but that is why I asked the question in the first place "could it be done".
Just remember ideas are just ideas, if people weren't creative this would be a boring world!

I don't charge, but if you're willing to donate I'll PM you my Paypal address.
I also have an AW vert, and wouldn't change a thing about the body lines. I think those vents would clutter up a very clean part of the body.
Any vent or opening on the top of the car has to be designed with water drainage in mind. The vent in the hood is, and I'm sure the vents on the coupe rear quarters are as well.

Why would you even want the ugly looking vents. One of the nicest things about the convertible is; no vents. (on the base they just accumulate dirt) If I purchased a coupe I would have live with them, with the vert you don't. Now I do like the hood louvers, designed into the hood extremely well.

I've designed a Vinyl kit for the C7 Coupe and Vert similar to the NS-1 Kits I created for the Camaro.
They should add enough uniqueness for my appetite.

I thought about your question for quite awhile these past few months, why did GM eliminate the vents for the vert? Does it have something to do with the vert mechanism? One of the things I hate about the vert is that those vents were removed but there must be some functional reason why they were left off.
The idea of having them airbrushed on must be a joke because that's just an idiotic idea.
