From RPI, I ordered and installed a painted perforated exhaust filler. Took only about 20 min to install. Make sure you mask off the side areas like I did.

That does look good. I'd like to go that route also, but worry about vibration and rattles.

very nice......did mine in CGM... I did notice the C7's exhaust system has the filler panel sit farther back from the front than my C6 did. Makes it harder to see ...but a nice touch

These kinds of mods are very cool. Subtile yet different from the norm. I agree with Peter Pan (actually I thought that a Peter Pan was a wash basin in a Bordello) it adds the finishing touch. If I don't change out the tips, I'm going to do the same thing.

That's the first exhaust filler panel that I have seen so far that I like. I don't see it on RPI's website though.

Looks like the top half is held in by screws, but the bottom half is held in place by double sided tape...?

yes it does, properly applied to clean pristine surfaces, the tape will be as strong or stronger than the screws ( won't loosen)

My experience with the stuff has been far from that with my previous Corvettes. I liked the look of the product but I think I'll pass cause of the tape.

It's the perforated one, then you add the painted option.

And of course, you could paint it easily yourself...even if you screw up no one will ever notice, it's so far back in the dim light.¯\(°_o)/¯
