There are a lot of oil threads in this forum. I'd do a search and see what it returns. That being said, it's hard to go wrong with any synthetic that meets Dexos specs, which most do. I use Mobil one in every 4 cycle engine I own including my lawnmower.

Me to. I used Mobil 1 in my C6. Since the Mobil 1 icon was missing from the oil fill cap, I thought GM was recommending something else.

Just remember that the C7 is a high tech, high performance machine and not just any ol' lubricant will work.
As such, stay away from any lubricant labeled "710"
