Considering having my new car trucked from Les Stanford to California. So just wondering what covered trucking company that will transport a new vette to my house and how much will it cost. Please advise.

Covered runs about a dollar a mile. There are two forum vendors on here and I think they give members discounts. Intercity and Plycar. I've seen Plycar pick up cars and they come highly recommended, and Intercity is one of the oldest in the biz with a very good reputation.

Default try PLYCAR

I had my vette transported by PLYCAR from NJ to MA and it was about $800
it was covered truck.

I highly recommend them. They only use their own trucks and there were much higher end cards in there like an aston martin and a high end mercedes.

I had checked a couple of places and this seemed most reasonable

Second vote for Intercity. I have used them twice, once on the East coast and from LA to Boston. Very nice to deal with and the drivers are super.

Had mine shipped from .New jersey to calif......covered transport. took 5 days $1600...they kept me informed very well. I was very satisfied , company name Montway transport. they also picked it up within 2 days of the call. some companies take a lot longer time depending on their load of other cars they are delivering . i have heard of up to 3 weeks !

I used Reliable to move my 1970 Chevelle SS and 1971 Camaro RS/SS when I moved from Michigan to South Carolina back in December with zero problems. I used Intercity last month to get my new Corvette from MacMulkin (because that is who MacMulkin recommended and were cheaper) to my house in South Carolina with zero problems. Both did an excellent job.

Dennis Tap recommended and set up my delivery to my house from Michigan to NJ for $750.00, great deal. The drivers name was Demitri and he was extremely careful and courteous, covered carrier of course. Dennis had Jim at VP Transport arrange for Okay Auto Carriers to deliver my car. Some pictures of it coming off the truck.

Good luck to you and enjoy your sexy new beautiful beast.

A smaller operation but one that operates their own trucks and one me and my friends have used a lot is Exotic Car Transport. They are out of Orlando but make runs all over the country.

Shop rates at UShip.com. I used Mills Transport based in Iowa.

Horseless Carriage moved my '71 from NY to SC without a hitch. Would def recommend them. Here is a good place to see some reviews...

Never EVER use a shipping broker, ALWAYS deal with the company that owns the trucks and employs the drivers. Sure, it may cost you a few $$ extra but this is a classic example of getting what you pay for.

There might be a few companies like this on UShip but it's a crap shoot and I doubt many here want to shoot craps with their new C7.
