Default A new way to black out the retainer strip....

Finally got around to this one....a vinyl wrap material. This allows you to "thicken" the size of the retainer to make it look a bit larger (more noticeable) than if you used another method. Oracle 3D carbon fiber applied dry...very easy to work with. I started with a 1 inch wide strip 50 inches long...about $.70 worth of material . You can form it to the small variations in the grill and retainer as you go.

If you stare at this stuff long enough you will see the 3D effect...

Looks great buddy. One of our Vendors sold 2 carbon fiber strips for the retainer. I grabbed them and basically did exactly what you did.

You might consider using the rest of your Carbon Fiber on the top of the front fangs. I've seen that done-it looks good.

You should be able to get the material at Advance Auto Parts.

That looks very good - and the price is certainly reasonable.

Steven, good idea...I've seen those in the catalogs. I'm waiting on the CF front splitter to see if the patterns match up closely. How about a pic of yours?
