Default Kaleidoscope of Stingray deliveries this past week~Pictures and stories****

I have always felt there isn't a bad color when it comes to Corvettes...check out this past weeks deliveries for the different combo's and stories.

Lee and his wife from Rehoboth Beach, DE ordered this Limerock Green Cpe to their exact specs. To say they were happy with the results is an under statement.

~Chris from Vienna, VA special ordered his Black and Gray Stingray cpe with the top that he wanted...and it's his every day driver. He arrived back from over sea's on a Wednesday and took delivery the next day.

In Chris's words- "Great car! I drove it to the Outer Banks, NC, via back roads. Awesome!" Chris

~Another Limerock Green Convt hits the road flying.

~VP of the Free State Corvette Club, Steve P and his wife Mary from Ellicott City, MD bought their 2011 Supersonic Blue GS Cpe (one of the first produced) from me a few yrs ago and called me when it was time to factory order their C7. Laguna Blue with the Carbon Flash full length stripes, Black interior with micro fiber inserts...this Stingray is a stunner. I hope we can get together before the Ocean City, MD Car show in October!

Mary got to drive the new C7 home...and to work the next day!!

~Next up is Mike H and his wife from Boynton Beach, FL. Their son is a good customer and friend of mine and he had them order their loaded up C7 Z51 Torch Red/Red Convt 6 weeks ago. The full length Carbon Flash stripes with Black wheels etc looks great with this color combo!

Deliveries stacking up...

~Ed and Kim from Lewes, DE factory ordered their C7 in Arctic White with 3LT Brownstone interior. I had met Ed at Corvettes at Carlisle last year and he is a super knowledgeable Corvette Enthusiast. He plans on getting his new Stingray done with Expel so they sent him a travel kit of Expel which he installed with his wife before making the trip back to Delaware.

~Gary G from Gladwynne, PA called me Thursday seeking a C7 Cyber Gray 1LT Convt. I gave him a sight unseen trade value on his 2001 Corvette Convt with 29K miles within 10 minutes and stuck to the number Saturday when he arrived for delivery at 9:15am. Gary was back on the road before 10am and he said his last goodbye's to his old vette!

~Together 44+ years, Richard and his wife Mary from Gambrills, MD stopped by a few months ago to check out the Stingrays. Just over a yr ago they had bought a 2012 GS Convt in CRM from another dealer but they liked what they saw with the C7. I told him I had a loaded Z51 Convt being built in CRM with Kalahari interior/top and loaded. He said to mark it to him. 3 weeks ago I gave him a sight unseen number and yesterday he came in for delivery as the new C7 arrived Thursday. As it turns out I was delivering a new Equinox(to Greg G of Olney, MD) to another Corvette(60th anniv GS Convt) customer of mine and I got him in action taking delivery at the same time as Richard and Mary...and this is Mary's Stingray!

~Their 2012 trade in with 9,177 miles.

~Another week of Corvette deliveries in the books...today is a day of rest.

*Maybe I will get to take my Stingray out for a ride today....

Mike:

From all of your hundreds of C7 deliveries in 2014, it certainly looks like black for the first year of C7 production will NOT be the most popular color produced. I believe black was the #1 color for the C6 generation though. Seems to be more of a balanced variety of colors ordered with the C7.

Just how far is Lewes, Delaware from Gaithersburg, Maryland?

Having customers install their own temporary clear paint protection film on their new Corvette on your lot had to be a first!!!

I have had customers put a wide array of products on before driving off...this Expel quick kit was by far the best idea. Lewes DE is 150 miles away.

Mary and Steve drove home in better weather then you Rock...as a matter of fact, the whole world drove home in better weather then when you picked up your Stingray last October.

We should try to get as many C7's there as possible.

Looks like lots of happy C7 owners there. Congrats to all of them and hope they enjoy their new cars.

Love seeing all your deliveries. I know I'll see BLU BYA when we drive up to OCMD from FLA in October.

Looking forward to it.

Well mike, I wouldn't be so sure! I hit some crazy thunderstorms last month on my trek. It was scary seeing big SUVs pulling over with their hazards on. I kept it at 30mph in went mode and she drove like a dream. Love this car.

Sadly yes, Limerock Green is gone after 2014 production.

Rock drove home with his wife during a Tornado thunderstorm...luckily he made it safe and it was approx. only 35 miles away.
