Ok so here it is. I have everything I need to do one HUD in a 1LT minus the dash. I can get one from GMPartsHouse in what ever color you want.

The Harness has been complete and still lacking one plug but do have a factory one for this install. If anyone is interested it would have to be done at our shop in Kemah TX and take around a day or 2 to complete everything.

Actually I did that on my C6. But with the C7 I really don't miss the HUD as much as I thought I would. I guess it's because the speedo's graphic is so large in I can easily see it while driving. However, it looks like a much more complicated job than the C6 was. Good luck with this.

ok so a break down on pricing:
Dash:
New dash (Highly Recommended) $750 optional
Modified factory Dash: $100 one of the 2 will have to happen

HUD projector:
$500 Factory GM
$375 for a used one I have

HUD Switch and bezel:
$65 from GM

Harnesses: YES harnesses not just harness
$225

Installation $600
This is a bit nego. as the first one took me around 13 hours and could take quite a bit less the second time and that will be a determining factor.

So on the high end you'd be looking at $2015

Or with some of the options available $1365

Either way you'd choose I'd very highly recommend a dash replacement other wise you'll be going with a c6 version of the dash bezel.

Same here....I don't miss the HUD at all with my 1LT. But at least it can be done as an aftermarket.

This is very tempting... The HUD was the ONLY thing I wanted out of the 2LT package so I decided to just get a 1LT.

That and your shop is only 1 hour away from me (NW Houston)

My C5 had a template for the HUD cut out, do the C7 dash's not have the cut out?

I’d think that the price would make those who bought a 1LT or are considering it and want the HUD, rethink the idea and get a 2LT. Don

Yep. That is the main reason I got the 2LT in the Stingray and my 2011 Camaro.. However, $2000 to add HUD is still cheaper than the $4000 2LT option.

CM has a good question about the display on a non-HUD windshield. Let's not overlook it. On the OEM windshield it looked amazing but I can't justify the added cost.
