I was told that by both the customer service folks at the 800# and the CHAT at their website

I will definitely bring this up with the service adviser because to me at least, this seems like a load of crap. The schedule that they gave me is the same as a Sonic and a Silverado 3500 HD diesel, how the hell does that make any sense?
Get it in writing. Anything else is useless.

this is exactly what I was told, 4 free changes over the first two years anytime I want them. My first change at about 2500 miles was free and I am going in Thursday for the second at about 8500 miles still showing 18% life on the monitor. I've requested to go to Mobil One this time around as well, don't know yet if they will up charge me for that or not, the service writer said he would need to look into that. I am going to go to a 4000 mile interval and forget the monitor.....seems like way too many miles between changes if you follow the monitor.

I was no where near 20% when mine was changed the first time. I'm not sure how the dealer could "fudge" when the millage is entered into the dealers computer. I also don't know why the dealer would risk problems with GM to give me or anyone else an early oil change. My wives Cadilac has to be under 10%, but she gets unlimited changes during the life of the warranty.

....I don't think that is a "rule" but more like a suggestion as to when you should do it.

My exact question was "My dealer says that my Stingray must be showing no more than twenty percent in order for them to be reimbursed by GM under the four free changes changes during the first 2 years program. Is that accurate?"

They said yes, it must be 20% in order for the dealer to be reimbursed for the work.

(just passing along what I was told....)

With 1350 miles on my C7 I had the oil changed for free at my dealer. I wanted to do the oil change anyway but the car was going in to have the rear tire replaced (which the insurance covered for free). Got a new tire and oil change at 0 cost. They never even mentioned charging me for oil almost as though it was understood I get 4 of them for free. When I got the car back the tech never reset the oil life so I ended up doing it before I left the dealer parking lot.. I guess I should probably check my dip stick make sure they actually did change it and put in the correct amount.. e

Does sound like you found a dealership that has a good Corvette tech. Sometimes a good dealership is rather hard to find.
