How much of a deposit is your dealer requiring to order a new 2015?
I am curious to hear what other dealers are requiring for a deposit. My dealer wants $5000. It seems like a lot to have wrapped up while waiting for a car. They will accept supplier pricing so will probably do it. I just wanted a bit of feedback from you all. It is not a Z06 just a Z51 vert.

When I ordered my 14 early last year my dealer said he didn't need a deposit (I've been a customer for many years). Since nothing was in writing at the time I wanted some record so I gave them a check for a $1000. When everything was said & done I got their first car in their first allocation and my check was attached to my order file, they never cashed it.

$0 here too but I've known them for a lot of years. It is a sold order with my name on it. The order is at status code 3000 with a TPW of 8/11.
I guess they figure if I back out for some reason, they can certainly make more money on the next person since I am getting supplier pricing!

I guess wether it's $5 or $2000, it really doesn't matter (assuming you're at a dealer who can make it happen), because it comes off the sales price when you receive the car.
THE KEY is making sure you're at a dealer (MacMulkin, Kerbeck, etc) who has allocations, so you know you're getting your car and not having to worry about deposit $$.
