Default Covering chrome strip

Okay, I know this has been covered before, but what is the best way to cover the chrome strip on the front of the grill?

I taped off the grill and used Krylon Flexdip or Plastidip. It is best to apply a couple coats for durability.

I don't trust myself getting the tape right and I found plastidip to be easy to work with (5 coats).

I did a trial with electrical tape. It took about 15 minutes to carefully stretch into place and has held firm for 2 months.

My solution:

The chrome grille trim was the one design aspect I did not like about the car. Installation was straight forward, they sent two vinyl strips that you have to massage and stretch to fit perfectly, them trim the excess with a razor blade. My craftsmanship isn't factory or professional quality, but I'm happy with how it turned out.
