Top Gear Speed Week 2014 Issue Released!
I always look forward to this annual issue of Top Gear magazine. This year they had great cars competing and on track and road. Guess what they put the C7 up against? the Jag F-Type R! final words were: "we were sure there was one clear winner when entering the competition, but we couldn't believe who it was". Great acheivement for America ,Top Gear highly recognized the effort put into the C7 and said that they can finally raise their heads up high against Europe's best.

I've seen the print article in digital format. Great showing by the Corvette. Seemed to easily outhandle the Jaguar both objectively and subjectively. The C7 was a finalist into the road test portion, which took place in Andorra. They didn't name outright winners, but some group of ranking could be seen by the comments and position within the article.
BMW M4 - not as involving or good sounding as it should have been; poor rear traction; too much like a warmed over 335i
(tied with)
Caterham 160 - the author enjoyed it, but felt it was a bit "crap" in this company
Corvette - sounds great; excellent balance with a sharp front end and obedient rear end; very involving with good brakes; besides a gearshift throw that could be shorter and reservations about aesthetics, they had nothing but praise
(tied with)
Golf R - outstanding on the twisty roads of Europe, but weak brakes; has AWD, but doesn't feel it; good DCT gearbox
918
(tied with)
McLaren P1

not sure they will release a video of this specific comparison test, but the next season of TG should be starting soon, im sure the C7 will make it to one of the episodes. I guess this is how cars qualify to get a few minutes of testing footage on the actual show.

The problem I have with TG and the show on BBC is how they rate vehicles based on their ability to drift in the corners
and do smokey burnouts on the straights. I'm sorry, I rate vehicles on how well they KEEP traction. Not LOSE it...
